Rangers Spotlight

Current NHL Season

New York had another stellar season in 2022-23 despite its early postseason exit. The Rangers are set up for another strong year this upcoming campaign. Forwards Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad both had 90 or more points last season. Both players didn’t miss a game during the most recent season. Adam Fox was a runner up for the James Norris Memorial Trophy, awarded to the league’s best defender. Fox had 60 assists in 2022-23, ranking top five for defensemen. And the Rangers have one of the strongest goalkeepers in net. Igor Shesterkin had nearly a 92% save rate and ranked top ten in goals against. And New York added depth in the off-season with Blake Wheeler and Tyler Pitlick. All those factors spell a deep playoff run.

Past Spotlights

The Rangers thrilled their fans in the 2022 playoffs, winning Game 7s over Pittsburgh and Carolina and taking a 2-0 lead over Stanley Cup champs Tampa Bay before falling in the Eastern Conference Finals. But the hallmark of Rangers success—a star goaltender—is back in the form of Igor Shesterkin, who won the Vezina Trophy last year for the NHL’s top goalie. A mostly young core of Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider are back, and progression is expected from Alexis LaFreniere, Kaapo Kakko, and Filip Chytil. Vincent Trotcheck comes in from Carolina off an 51-point season last year and is expected to win key face-offs and help with the penalty kill.

Nothing is like a Rangers game in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and get the best experience possible with a premium seat in the “World’s Most Famous Arena.” Suites are available everywhere from on the ice, in the middle of the arena, and at the top along the famed roof. Another great option is the Delta Sky 360 Club—a premium rinkside experience that comes with all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages (with alcoholic drinks available for purchase at a full bar).

Gerard Gallant got the Golden Knights off the ground in Las Vegas, now he’ll look to help return to the Rangers to playoff glory. The former Jack Adams Award winner takes over for David Quinn after the Rangers missed the postseason for a fourth consecutive season and has a healthy mix of youth and experience. Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, and Artemi Panarin are all capable of netting 20-30 goals a season. A great deal is expected out of 2020’s top overall draft pick Ian Lafreniere, who scored 12 goals as a 19-year-old in his rookie campaign. Adam Fox continued his growth as an offensive-minded defenseman last season, recording 47 points in 55 games. Igor Shesterkin has emerged from the shadow of goaltending giant Henrik Lundqvist and will be the Rangers go-to-guy in net for the foreseeable future. Enhance your visit to the world’s most famous arena with the one-of-a-kind experience that is the Garden Lounge. A perfect party space for up to 28 people that includes a preset food menu and private bathroom. The premium options don’t end when the season does either. Circle back in the offseason for the Locker Room Experience where you and your clients can enjoy a cocktail reception surrounded by history in their iconic dressing area. The Loft serves extraordinary food crafted by private chefs and the J.P. Morgan Club offers a beacon of luxury with its first-class service.
