Senators Spotlight

Current NHL Season

Mired in their longest playoff drought since originally joining the league back in 1993, how quickly Ottawa’s playoff absence ends hinges on the production of its young and ultra-talented front line. Brady Tkachuk has become the face of the franchise after receiving the captain’s letter and signing a seven-year, $57.5 million dollar deal. The 22-year-old has shown tremendous promise so far by recording 129 points in just 205 games. Tkachuk is joined by fellow 22-year-old forward Josh Norris and 23-year-old Drake Batherson on the top line. The duo combined for 69 points in last year’s shortened season. Goaltending duties are up for grabs as Matt Murray should lockdown the starting spot, but could be pushed by both Anton Forsberg and Filip Gustavsson for time in the crease. There’s no better way to watch the Sens than from... MORE

Past Spotlights

A new era of Senators hockey is coming to life, as the organization owns five of the league’s top 100 prospects, according to ESPN, along with five picks in the first two rounds of next year’s draft. Meantime, playing on the ice will be a collection of young talent and veterans, including Artem Anisimov, Mikkel Boedker, Thomas Chabot, and Brady Tkachuk. New head coach D.J. Smith is from the Mike Babcock coaching tree, coming over after serving as an assistant with Toronto since 2015. The Sens are also looking for their long-term goalie, as Craig Anderson and Anders Nilsson continue to hold down the fort in net.

If you’re looking for a reason to come to the Canadian Tire Centre this season, look no further than The Loft, a brand new premium experience. You get four tickets to the game (either at the home end of the arena or at centre ice), all-inclusive catering with a rotating menu, two premium parking passes, hostess service, and private restrooms.

Enjoy upscale dining and the best seats in the house in the Brookstreet Lounge. In addition to top-notch seats, you get a pre-game buffet, VIP parking, access to the club for its bar and private restrooms during the game, and in-seat service. For the traditionalists, luxury suites that accommodate 16 or 24 people are available, and for a giant bash, check out Party Deck Suites, that can hold up to 182 fans!

The Ottawa Senators turned heads in the 2016-2017 NHL season, defying doubters and qualifying for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Senators will be hungry to return to the postseason after a heartbreaking double-OT game 7 loss to eventual champion Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Finals. Captain Erik Karlsson had another stellar year for the Senators. Despite being known primarily for his defense, Karlsson finished the year with 71 points on 54 assists, good for 3rd among all defensemen in the league and earning him his 4th nomination for the Norris Trophy. The fast-skating, play-making defender will look to continue to anchor this team going into the 2017-2018 season. To help him it will be Kyle Turris, returning after leading the team in goals with 27. Goalie Craig Anderson will look to have another outstanding year, as he finished with a .926 save percentage and 25 wins last season.

The Ottawa Senators call the Canadian Tire Centre home, and it has become one of the most vibrant arenas in the NHL, regularly finishing in the top half in attendance. The most common Senators suite will include 16 tickets and 2 parking passes. A Senators sky box provides the perfect environment to watch a Senators game, as they include HDTVs, high quality furnishings, an extensive catering menu, and dedicated suite attendant. Canadian Tire Centre will also host Arcade Fire and Roger Waters this year.
