A new era of Senators hockey is coming to life, as the organization owns five of the league’s top 100 prospects, according to ESPN, along with five picks in the first two rounds of next year’s draft. Meantime, playing on the ice will be a collection of young talent and veterans, including Artem Anisimov, Mikkel Boedker, Thomas Chabot, and Brady Tkachuk. New head coach D.J. Smith is from the Mike Babcock coaching tree, coming over after serving as an assistant with Toronto since 2015. The Sens are also looking for their long-term goalie, as Craig Anderson and Anders Nilsson continue to hold down the fort in net.
