The Cincinnati Reds were one of baseball's feel-good stories in 2024, as their rebuilding plan began to translate into on-field success. After a surprisingly strong 2023, the young Reds took another leap, finishing above .500 and staying in the playoff chase into late September. The youth movement in Cincinnati is in full swing: electrifying shortstop Elly De La Cruz wowed fans all season with towering home runs and blazing speed, while infielder Matt McLain and rookie Noelvi Marte provided additional offensive punch. On the pitching side, fireballing Hunter Greene became an All-Star ace, and closer Alexis Díaz racked up 35 saves with a wipeout slider. Under manager David Bell, the Reds played with swagger and an aggressive style that brought crowds back to Great American Ball Park in droves. Though they narrowly missed a Wild Card berth, the Reds' momentum is undeniable. The front office reinforced that by extending Greene's contract and making a savvy trade for a veteran starter this offseason. Cincinnati's rebuild has truly turned a corner, and fans are thrilled to believe again in this team's direction.

Great American Ball Park also saw improvements that have enhanced the fan experience as the team's fortunes rise. Notably, the Reds unveiled several stadium upgrades for the 2024 season. A new grab-and-go "Food Hub" marketplace opened on the third-base concourse, featuring local Cincinnati eateries and self-service checkouts for speedy convenience. The all-inclusive Lexus Diamond Club behind home plate underwent a complete renovation, emerging as a modern luxurious lounge with expanded indoor space, gourmet food stations (including a candy wall and gelato bar), and a premium bar, all designed to pamper fans sitting in the best seats. The team also introduced high-tech retail options like RFID self-checkout in the main team store to cut down wait times. Even the little details, such as improved kid-friendly zones and social media photo spots around the park, have been addressed. Combined with the backdrop of the Ohio River and the celebratory blasts of fireworks after every Reds home run, these enhancements make attending a Reds game an even more enjoyable, family-friendly event. There's a palpable buzz in Cincinnati both for the team on the field and the experience off of it.

Cincinnati had a quick turnaround in 2023. This season, expect that to continue. Shortstop Elly De La Cruz burst onto the scene last year. Although he ended the season poorly, he has all the tools for a full breakout in 2024. Youngsters Christian Encarnacion-Strand, Matt McLain, Spencer Steer, and Will Benson all played above expectations. And the addition of third baseman Jeimer Candelario makes Cincinnati's lineup more potent. The Reds had pitching issues last season but plugged holes by signing Frankie Montas and Nick Martinez. Cincinnati has a real shot at winning its division for the first time since 2012.

Great American Ball Park is the place for luxury. The Lexus Diamond Club, situated behind home plate, is an ultimate fan experience with in-seat service, food options, TVs, and access to exclusive events. The private Bally Sports Club allows patrons to relax, sit in comfort, enjoy bars, and try various foods. The Dugout Box is another option, allowing access to the Scouts Club and providing fans with wide seats, air-conditioning, private concession stands, and more. Suites give a more intimate experience in Cincinnati. Food and beverage, complimentary parking passes, and premium benefits are available for up to 16 guests.

The Reds enter the second year of a youth movement that lends some excitement to the offerings at Great American Ballpark in 2023. Pitcher Nick Londolo dealt with some injuries in 2022 but could lead the rotation this season. Hunter Greene and Graham Ashcraft both have the tools to be all-stars in short order as well. Spencer Steer, who was acquired in a trade last year, is a Rookie of the Year candidate at third base and joins 2021 Rookie of the Year Jonathan India along with veterans Wil Myers, Jake Fraley, and Joey Votto in the lineup.

A sportsbook is being added at Great American Ballpark for 2023, as sports betting was legalized in Ohio on Jan. 1. Also new for this season is the Boone County Bourbon Press Club. It's behind home plate in the footprint of the former press box and features all-inclusive food and drink and multiple seating options--choose from four-top tables, theatre-style seating, and high-top chairs. Luxury suites are also available for 16 guests with food and beverage included in the rental price.
