Working at Suite Experience Group

Company Overview

Suite Experience Group operates two business lines: SuiteExperienceGroup.com is the leading marketplace for luxury suites to sporting events and concerts nationwide. SuitePro is our suite-specific sales workflow and inventory management software for professional sports teams and venues. With our SuitePro business, we are powering luxury suite sales efforts for teams/venues, helping them establish a stronger digital presence and more efficiently sell and service suites.

Company Culture

We set ambitious goals and work together as a team to achieve them. We value transparency, collaboration, clear goal-setting, and performance-based compensation. Most importantly, we believe that hard work and having fun go together.

Open roles

Full Stack Engineer

The Role

Suite Experience Group (SEG) is a technology company dedicated to making it easier to buy and sell luxury suites at stadiums and arenas. We are growing rapidly, and we are looking to hire a full-stack engineer who will report directly to our CTO and become a core member of our small but powerful team. If you are interested in joining a high-growth (and profitable) platform business, knowing your work will have a huge impact on the success of our company, this might be the perfect role for you.

We're looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit; someone who is highly achievement-oriented and adaptable, with a capacity to understand the vision of our company and grow the business accordingly.

The full-stack engineer position will have an impact on both of our business lines. This role will work side-by-side with our CTO and VP of Engineering, helping to advance our marketplace capabilities and build out features/functionality for our SuitePro product.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will vary day-to-day, so it's important that you can switch gears when needed and prioritize your time and energy. Some days you may be building new features, others you may be squashing bugs. Some days you may be improving SQL queries, others you may be building a new UI. You'll need to be flexible and ready to tackle our most pressing technical challenges each day.

  • Design, build, test, and launch new product features (own implementation from beginning to end)
  • Maintain, improve, and nurture our existing suite of products (back-end sales workflow and inventory management platform, suites marketplace, white-label customer websites, home-grown CMS and admin tools)
  • Improve our UI platform and user experience
  • Contribute ideas to our tech and non-tech roadmaps

Skills & Prior Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) from a top academic institution
  • Outstanding coding skills – mastery of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL
  • Thorough understanding of web technology and web development
  • High level of intellectual horsepower
  • Passion for solving problems
  • Prioritization and time management
  • Collaborative, team-player mentality

Bonus Points

  • Interest in entrepreneurship, platform businesses, or sports & music
  • Interest in designing and building user interfaces
  • Technical experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Expertise in data modeling or systems architecture
  • Experience scaling back-end systems

Working Hours and Location

This role can be remote and/or based out of our New York City office space; you will work closely with our CTO (New York City), VP of Engineering (Boston), and the business folks headquartered in San Francisco. We are not a typical 9 to 5 culture… we work hard and play hard. The number of physical hours in the office is less important than getting things done efficiently and having a strong work ethic and desire to perform. Our team of six (6) is in constant communication throughout each day. We do value in-person get-together's throughout the year, including our annual strategy retreat.

Compensation

Competitive comp package with significant upside. SEG values a performance-based compensation structure. In a nascent industry with high growth potential, this role offers an opportunity to participate in significant revenue upside. In addition to a base salary, you will receive commission tied to SEG's revenue performance, which has been on a rapid growth trajectory.

How to Apply

Send an email to [email protected] introducing yourself and please attach your resume. Tell us why this job appeals to you and why you would be a great fit to join our team. Culture fit is especially important to us, so please show us why you are interested in the role.

If applicable, please link to projects you've worked on, your GitHub account, or anything else you are proud to have been a part of.
