Madison Square Garden Event Planning Guide

Suite Experience Group helps customers all over the world to plan corporate and personal events at Madison Square Garden and many other stadiums. In this section we’ve compiled the key considerations when planning an event at Madison Square Garden.

Arena Access

All suite ticket holders are welcome to enter Madison Square Garden through any gate, but have VIP access via The North and South Concierge Entrances at the 31st and 33rd Street entrances in The Madison Square Garden Lobby.

Gates open 1 hour prior to the start of all events at Madison Square Garden.

Group Size and Number of Attendees in a Suite

Madison Square Garden offers suites on two different levels; The Lexus Madison Suite Level and The Signature Suite Level. Suites at Madison Square Garden accommodate groups up to 20 guests.

Budget for a Suite Purchase

The price of a suite at Madison Square Garden varies by day of the week and opponent. The cost of a typical Knicks or Rangers game is $10,000 on the weekend and $17,500 during the week. The price increases for premium opponents and postseason games. The cost for concerts varies based on performer.

Madison Square Garden Catering

In suite catering is available in all suites at Madison Square Garden and you have full control over the menu and budget. The menu offers a wide variety of food and beverage, and it is typical to spend around $2,000 on catering for a Madison Square Garden event. The key factors are the size of your group, amount of alcohol being consumed and the type of food you order (ball park favorites versus higher end fare).

Access to Stadium Clubs

Fans with suite tickets have access to the Club Bar and Grill. Located on the Lexus Terrace Level, The Club Bar and Grill offers suite ticket holders a place to enjoy a fine dining meal, or have a drink before, during and after the game.

Dress Code

There is no right answer here, and it ultimately boils down to what others in your group will be wearing. If it’s a corporate event, many guests will likely be dressed in business casual attire. However, it’s not uncommon for guests to wear jerseys of their favorite player, jeans, or even shorts on a hot day. The luxury suites at Madison Square Garden are climate controlled and have a coat closet for storage.

Security

All fans must pass through a metal detector prior to entering Madison Square Garden, and the following items are prohibited: weapons, laser pens, signs, banners, oversized bags, outside food and beverage, drugs, video cameras, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, personal transporters, audio recording devices and SLR cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses.

Transportation and Parking

Madison Square Garden does not have any on-site parking, however there are numerous parking garages in the immediate vicinity of the arena.

Madison Square is also easily accessible via The Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit, The PATH and 1, 2,3, A, C, E subway lines.
