Heinz Field Overview

General Information

  • Date Opened: August 18, 2001
  • Max Capacity: 68,400

Stadium Information

Heinz Field is an outdoor football stadium located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Heinz Field sits along the Ohio River with the Pittsburgh skyline in the background, providing a scenic overlook on the stadium’s edges. Home to the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers, Heinz Field has Steelers influence throughout the entire stadium. A bronze statue of Steelers beloved owner Art Rooney can be found outside the field, and Steelers memorabilia is on display in the FedEx Great Hall. The construction of the stadium was inspired by Pittsburgh’s rich history as a leader in the steel industry, as over 12,000 tons of steel were used to build the venue. There are two 35 foot long Heinz ketchup bottles situated at the top of the scoreboard, which is one of the more creative stadium designs in the industry. Heinz Field has sold out for every Steelers home game since 1972, which means you can count on an electric atmosphere at Heinz Field every Sunday.

Suite Information

Heinz Field luxury suites provide you and your guests with a first class VIP experience at Heinz Field. 300 Level Suites and 400 Level Suites span across each sideline, with the 400 Level directly above the 300 Level. Amenities in a Heinz Field luxury box include theatre style seating, bar stools, VIP parking passes, 3 HDTVs, and a dedicated suite attendant. Guests will also have access to the UPMC Club along with their Heinz Field suite. With a Champions Club Suite, guests will receive 2 parking passes to the Carnegie Center North Lot, VIP access to the PNC Champions Club private entrance, and entry to the exclusive PNC Champions Club.
