Bank of America Stadium Overview

General Information

  • Date Opened: August 3, 1996
  • Max Capacity: 75,525

Stadium Information

Built in 1996, Bank of America Stadium is located in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina, and is home to the NFL's Carolina Panthers. The stadium was specifically designed for football and also houses the Carolina Panthers' organization headquarters including training facilities, practice fields, and administrative offices. At max capacity, Bank of America Stadium seats 75,500 fans. As of 2019, the stadium is one of the ten oldest venues in the league. Albeit dated, the exterior design and concourse structures of Bank of America Stadium still look impressive 20 years later. High-arched entrances and team-colored paint makes the stadium feel uniquely "Charlotte". The surrounding landscape is neatly manicured featuring bermuda grass, trees, and botanical gardens. Starting in 2015, Bank of America Stadium has undergone extensive renovations annually - newer aspects of the stadium include; high-speed escalators, LED lighting, modern signage, and state-of-the-art multimedia displays (HD video boards above each endzone and two multifunctional ribbon boards encircling the seating bowl).

Also worth noting, Bank of America Stadium, around the time of its construction in the 1990's, was one of the first stadiums to pioneer the use of Personal Seating Licenses (PSLs). The success of early sign-ups helped Charlotte secure its NFL expansion team.

Bank of America Stadium also hosts the Belk Bowl (NCAAF) and the ACC Championship Game (NCAAF) annually, in addition to the occasional international soccer game.

Suite Information

The Silver Club Level at Bank of America Stadium consists of a two-story club concourse spanning 50,000 square ft. and encircling the entire stadium. 153 private luxury suites are located on both the 300- and 400-Levels of the Club.

In 2015, the Silver Club Level and all luxury suites were fully renovated. Today, guests are greeted with wide-open and airy club concourses complete with state-of-the-art multimedia displays and plenty of upgraded food options and full-service bars. The luxury suites similarly feature a modern design and upscale finishings emphasizing Carolina Panthers’ team colors.  Each suite is well-appointed with a private restroom, granite countertops, at least 5 HDTV’s, and three rows of comfortable seating overlooking the field. Suites are climate-controlled with retractable glass windows that can be opened fully for an “open-air” gameday experience.

Suite ticketholders have access to the entire Silver Club Level and its 8 lounge areas complete with full-service bars and “marketplace” concession stands. The North Club Lounge and the South Club Lounge are the two largest lounge spaces on Club Level – each lounge features upgraded concessions, plenty of seating, and multiple large HDTV’s broadcasting the game. In addition to the main lounges, the Silver Club Level features other themed spaces such as; the Panthers Den Lounge, Press Box Lounge, and the Red Zone Lounge. The 400-Level Concourse features shared spaces available for rent such as; the Gridiron Club, the 32 Club, the Fifty One Club and the 10/26 club. Each of these spaces provide a unique fan experience in a small group setting.

Additional amenities available to suite ticketholders include VIP parking in the adjacent parking deck along with access to a private stadium entrance through the LUXE Lobby.
