Athletics Spotlight

Current MLB Season

After just missing out on the playoffs in 2021 and doing so for each of the three seasons before that, things didn’t go Oakland’s way last year in a 60-102 season. But the A’s have always been good at turning young talent into winners. One intriguing pickup was 28-year-old pitcher Shintaro Fujinami, who will be in the starting rotation. Top pitching prospect Ken Waldichuk is also worth watching after striking out a batter per inning in a brief stint in the majors. Young hitting prospects include 1B/C Tyler Soderstrom and infielder Zach Gelof, each of whom could blossom this season.

Since it became a baseball-only venue a few years ago, the Oakland Coliseum is trying to become more fan-friendly to the A’s fans. The Terrace, Lounge Seats, and Coppola Theater Boxes are all popular choices, and traditional suites are, of course, available all around the venue. Mini suites... MORE

Past Spotlights

The Oakland Athletics narrowly missed out on the playoffs for the third-straight year, and now general manager Billy Beane gets to do what he does best—take a new group of players and try to win again. Matt Olson, Matt Chapman, Chris Bassitt, and Sean Manaea have all departed, but the team has had a winning record in four-straight years, so don’t count out this young team. Elvis Andrus and Stephen Piscotty lead the team on offense along with catcher Sean Murphy and lefty Seth Brown. Frankie Montas remains a solid No. 1 starter, while Cole Irvin and Daulton Jefferies will be looking to prove themselves. Closer Lou Trivino also returns under new manager Mark Kotsay.

The Oakland Coliseum is now a baseball-only venue, and new premium seating options introduced after the Raiders left are a hit with fans. The Terrace, Lounge Seats, and Coppola Theater Boxes are all popular choices, while the right-field terrace (Hero Deck) features small tables, and the Oak Landing in left field has popular drink rails. Traditional suites are also available all over the field, from Club Infield Suites to Loge Suites and even Mini Suites if you have a party of 10 or under.

The 2021 Oakland A’s look to repeat as American League West division champions. The A’s made quite a bit of moves this offseason to improve their lineup and rebolster their bullpen. The lineup features fan favorites such as Matt Chapman, Matt Olson, Ramon Laureano, and Stephen Piscotty. New to the club is Elvis Andrus and Mitch Moreland.

On the mound, the A’s rotation will feature some of the same faces with higher hopes for Jesus Luzardo. Chris Bassitt and Frankie Montas round out a solid top 3 pitchers for the A’s.

The Oakland A’s are excited to welcome back fans to the Coliseum in 2021. While seating restrictions are enforced due to COVID-19, the A’s have their luxury suites open for rent. This includes the Terrace, Lounge Seats, and Coppola Theater Boxes as well.

Traditional suites are also available stretching from foul pole to foul pole at the Oakland Coliseum. The A’s feature Club Infield Suites to Loge Suites and even Mini Suites for smaller groups of less than 10 people.
