Kings Spotlight

Current NHL Season

The rebuilding is over; it’s time to win. Fierce words from team captain Anze Kopitar as the Kings look to end a three-year absence from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Entering his 16th season, Kopitar could be reinvigorated on offense with the additions of forward Viktor Arvidsson and Phillip Danault from Nashville and Montreal, respectively. Kings mainstays Dustin Brown and Drew Doughty are back as well, while blossoming stars in Alex Iafallo and Adrian Kempe look to take another step in their development. The goaltending duo of Jonathan Quick and Cal Petersen could become more a split this season as the two-time Jennings Trophy winner Quick begins year number 15 in L.A. Taking in the action at one of the world’s most pristine venues only gets better with a Staples Center Premium Membership. Flexible... MORE

Past Spotlights

The 2021 Los Angeles Kings continue to build upon their young core and fight their way into the playoffs. The Kings feature some of the best prospects in the NHL, some who are ready to make an impact on this year’s team. The Kings selected Quinton Byfield with the 2nd overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. Byfield along with Alex Turcotte, Arthur Kaliyev and Gabriel Vilardi are all players the Kings expect to be stars for their franchise. Defensively, the Kings have Tobias Bjornfot, Kale Clague and Mikey Anderson also ready to take their next leap. To help the Kings young players, veterans such as Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar will carry most of the workload. In the net, the Kings have Jonathan Quick as their starting goaltender.

You watch the LA Kings build their way back into a Western Conference title contender from one of many suites at the Staples Center. The Staples Center has 3 unique suite levels, all in different price brackets to accommodate any budget. Kings luxury suites will mostly accommodate 12-18 guests. The three suite levels are A, B and C Levels which are all stacked on top of one another above the lower bowl. With an LA Kings suite rental, guests receive early entry into the Staples Center along with exclusive access to a VIP entrance. All Kings suite guests also have access to the Hyde Lounge on the C Level and the San Manuel Club on the B Level. Some Los Angeles Kings luxury box amenities include private balcony seating, premium in-suite catering options, HDTVs, kitchenettes, and a Staples Center suite attendant to assist on game day.

The Kings are banking on former Edmonton head coach Todd McLellan to come in and see if this Los Angeles core has one more deep playoff run in them.

The veteran core of Ilya Kovalchuk, Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter, Drew Doughty, and goaltender Jonathan Quick are all back with the hope that most of the group will improve upon its play from a season ago.

To compliment the veterans, a group of teenagers – Alex Turcotte, Rasmus Kupari, Arthur Kaliyev, and Tobias Bjornfot – are ready to make their mark. They are all top-100 NHL prospects, so the future looks bright in Tinseltown.

The ways you can catch the Lakers in style at Staples Center are nearly limitless. The nearly 200 private and event suites were all refurbished in 2016, making for a state-of-the-art premium experience. Premier seats gets you into the building 30 minutes before everyone else, along with access to the exclusive San Manuel Club – not to mention the best seats in the house. If you have a group, try a private suite. You get the same perks as the premier seating, but with access to a spacious suite in the middle levels of the arena and even a private suite attendant. You can feel like an A-list celebrity with a night out in Hollywood!
