Maple Leafs Spotlight

Current NHL Season

Can the Maple Leafs follow in the footsteps of the Raptors and deliver another championship to Toronto? The Leafs have been building towards the moment of ending their 50-plus year Cup drought, and they believe the pieces are in place to get it done this spring.

The power trio of forwards in Auston Matthews, John Tavares, and Mitch Marner will be expected to carry the load in scoring for head coach Mike Babcock.

Six-foot-four goaltender Frederik Anderson is entering his prime, so he’ll be expected to win some big playoff games this year. The defense is also sporting a new look with the acquisitions of Cody Ceci and Ben Harpur, along with the departure of Jake Gardiner.

At Scotiabank Arena, suites are available in both the mid-level and upper reaches of the arena. The 200 level... MORE

Past Spotlights

The Toronto Maple Leafs have Stanley Cup aspirations in 2018-19. After reaching the playoffs the past two seasons, the Leafs expect to make a deep playoff run this season. Mike Babcock enters his third season as Head Coach of the Leafs and he has played an integral role in developing youngsters Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner into superstar players. In the offseason, the Maple Leafs signed prized free agent John Tavares from the New York Islanders. Tavares is a Toronto native and chose to sign with his hometown team with a highly publicized mega-contract (7 years, $77M). The John Tavares signing has expectations higher than ever in Toronto. Adding Tavares to an already elite offensive team should only improve their chances of making a deep playoff run. On defense, Morgan Reilly returns along with Jake Gardiner. Reilly is on the verge of a breakout season and many are expecting him to put up great offensive numbers from the blue line. Although the Leafs lost veterans Tyler Bozak, James van Riemsdyk, and enforcer Matt Martin to free agency, the returning roster is stacked with offensive talent. If the Leafs can play adequate defense, their high-powered offensive should prime them for a run at the Stanley Cup.

The Maple Leafs had a fairly successful year, making the playoffs in 2017. However, going into the 2017-18 and beyond, the Leafs hope to be a major force in the league as they're led by their sensational center Auston Matthews. The Maple Leafs were very optimistic on how Matthews would fair in his rookie season, and he exceeded their expectations. As a rookie, Matthews lead the team with 40 goals. He threw in 29 assists just for good measure as he managed to lead the team in points at the age of 19. In addition to Matthews, Mitchell Marner, James van Riemsdyk, and Nazem Kadri will lead the attack while Frederik Andersen sits back in goal. Head coach Mike Babcock should have high hopes for year 2 of the Auston Matthews era.

The Air Canada Centre is an exciting venue to watch the NHL. Most Maple Leafs suites will accommodate groups of 20 people. Inside a sky box, guests will have Wi-Fi, HDTVs, entertaining space, balcony seating and a suite attendant. In-suite catering can be purchased in advance. Along with a Maple Leafs suite, you will receive VIP parking passes. Guests with a suite ticket will also enter the Air Canada Centre through a private VIP entrance.  The Air Canada Centre will also be hosting Adele, Drake and Future Concert Tours.
