Blues Spotlight

Current NHL Season

The Blues still have something left in the tank. It’s been a tough road since St. Louis’ Stanley Cup title in 2019. But the Blues are still capable of a postseason push. Jordan Kyrou led the team in points with 73 last season. It was Kyrou’s first season with 30 or more goals and assists respectively. Pavel Buchnevich is another strong option. In just 63 games in 2022-23, Buchnevich recorded 41 assists, a near career-high. And youngster Robert Thomas has consistently contributed, putting up 65 assists last campaign. Brandon Saad and Brayden Schenn are just some of the veterans on the squad. And, for new acquisitions, Kevin Hayes will provide another layer of offense for St. Louis. The Blues aren’t a pushover in 2023-24.

Past Spotlights

The Blues, the 2019 Stanley Cup champions, gave the 2023 champion Colorado Avalanche one of their biggest tests during the playoffs, forcing a sixth game before falling at home in overtime of Game 6. Jordan Binnington was uneven in net during the regular season but held opponents to fewer than two goals per game in the playoffs. His success will be a big part of what St. Louis does this season. The team lost David Perron (27 goals), but the team had nine players score more than 20 goals last year, and replacements for his production include Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas, who received an eight-year contract extension over the summer.

Enterprise Arena in St. Louis has some of the best variety of premium-seating options in all of the NHL. There are five all-inclusive food and beverage venues to catch the game, including Pub 67, the Jameson Club at Clark Avenue, Scott Credit Union Rinkside Club, and more. Traditional suites are located on the 200 and 400 levels and are equipped with TVs, a private restroom, buffet counter, refrigerator, and customized catering packages are available.

St. Louis begins the season with a nice surprise. Vladimir Tarasenko had a change of heart over the summer and rescinded his request to be traded. If healthy, the 10-year veteran accounts for an easy 30 goals, but injuries held him to just 34 games over the previous two seasons. Captain Ryan O’Reilly was 100 percent last year and averaged just shy of a point per game. The franchise acquired both Brandon Saad from Colorado and former Ranger Pavel Buchnevich to add depth to its forward group. Jordan Binnington will man the crease, hoping to regain his 2018-19 form when he won 24 games and posted a sub-2.00 goals against average en route the Blues Stanley Cup victory. The Enterprise Center offers numerous ways to enhance your evening of Blues hockey including five different all-inclusive seating options in the lower bowl. From the “club within a club” of Pub 67 to the high energy private social space of the Jameson Club at Clark Avenue to all-inclusive upscale food offered at the Bommarito Automotive Group Lounge. A locally-inspired menu awaits you at the premiere entertainment scene unlike anything else in St. Louis that is the Bull and Bear. True fans will enjoy giving a fist bump to their favorite Blues player as they take to the ice, which comes with a VIP Membership to the Players Club by Luxco.
