The 2020-21 incarnation of Anaheim may be more ducklings than Ducks at this point. Just how quickly this team matures could determine if the three-year playoff drought ends or continues. The captain is back for one more go-round as Ryan Getzlaf signed a one-year extension for his 17th season in a Ducks uniform. He and Adam Henrique provide the veteran presence for young stars like Troy Terry and 2019’s No. 9 overall draft pick Trevor Zegras, who may both be on the verge of a breakout campaign. Former Vezina winner Ryan Miller may be enjoying retirement, but John Gibson remains the mainstay between the pipes as one of the league’s most talented goaltenders. Ducks Spotlight
Current NHL Season
Past Spotlights
Fans are hoping new head coach Dallas Eakins, who had success with the club’s AHL team in San Diego, can get the Ducks back into contention in the Western Conference.
There’s plenty of veteran talent on the team, including Ryan Getzlaf, Adam Henrique, and Jacob Silfverberg, but they did say goodbye to former Hart Trophy winner Corey Perry, who signed with Dallas this offseason after being bought out from his contract. Young center Sam Steel is expected to create some big moments in his first full NHL season.
Much of the fate of the Ducks this year will lie at the pads and glove of 26-year-old goaltender John Gibson. He averaged under three goals a game last season, and Gibson was second in the league in goals saved above average (37.6).
The Honda Center has been home to the Ducks for over 25 years, but it is constantly being upgraded to provide Ducks fans with a world-class experience. You can see for yourself by enjoying one of the many premium seating experiences the Ducks offer.
Ducks Party Suites hold up to 40 people and give you access to the club level lounge, a VIP arena entrance, and up to four parking passes. Luxury suites give you more of an intimate experience and waiter service with premium menu items, plus all of the perks included in the Party Suites.
The Anaheim Ducks had another competitive season in 2016-17, winning the Pacific Division for the 5th straight year. The Ducks were able to reach the Western Conference Finals before eventually falling to the cinderella Nashville Predators. However, the Ducks have a lot to be optimistic about going into next season. They will return leading scorer Rickard Rakell who had 33 goals last season, along with leading assist man Ryan Getzlaf. Getzlaf combines size and skill for consistent offensive production year in year out. Winger Corey Perry appeared in all 82 games and had the third-highest point total on the team. Goalie John Gibson had 25 wins and a .924 save percentage.
In 2017-18, the Ducks will host the Flyers, Canadiens, Predators, Panthers, Golden Knights, Penguins, and more.
A Ducks luxury box at the Honda Center is a perfect way to entertain clients or enjoy hockey with friends and family. The Honda Center will accommodate small or large groups with the average suite hosting between 10-20 people. With your Ducks suite, your group will get exclusive access to VIP clubs and private entry into the Honda Center. Suites for a Ducks game will include VIP parking, premium in-suite catering options, HDTVs, Wi-Fi, upscale furnishing and a dedicated suite attendant. The Ducks won’t be the only event you can see at the Honda Center this year. Suites are available for John Mayer, Kendrick Lamar, Dierks Bentley, and Lionel Richie
