Seahawks Spotlight

Current NFL Season

The Seattle Seahawks are set to take on the incredibly competitive NFC West this season. In 2020, the Seahawks improve offensively and went heavy of defense in the NFL Draft. Head coach Peter Carroll is in his eleventh year in Seattle and the team has been one of the best in the NFL since drafting Russell Wilson in 2011. To help Wilson’s playmaking ability, the Seahawks added Greg Olsen, Carlos Hyde, and Phillip Dorsett in the offseason. They of course team up with Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and Chris Carson.

Defensively, the Seahawks are focused on applying pressure against the quarterback. They drafted LB Jordyn Brooks and DE Darrell Taylor in the first two rounds of the year’s draft. Bringing back Bruce Irvin and adding Benson Mayowa should also help. To help increase more turnovers, the Seahawks also added CB Quinton Dunbar.

Past Spotlights

After a one-year hiatus, the Seattle Seahawks returned to the playoffs as a Wild Card in the NFC with a 10-6 record, but they fell in the first round to the Dallas Cowboys.

Seattle is in the midst of their most successful run in franchise history, posting winning seasons in each of the last seven and appearing in two Super Bowls, winning one.

Quarterback Russell Wilson was rewarded for his consistently winning ways by signing a four-year extension that makes him the highest-paid player in the NFL. He even used some of that money by gifting $12,000 worth of Amazon stock to each the 13 offensive linemen on the Seahawks roster!

On the defensive side, Seattle traded star defensive end Frank Clark to the Chiefs in exchange for a first round draft pick this year and a second-rounder in 2020.

CenturyLink Field has been the home to the Seahawks since 2002, and the stadium boasts one of the biggest homefield advantages in the NFL due to the amount of noise generated inside.

The stadium has regular seven-figure investments pumped into it to provide fans with the best gameday experience. Improvements to the video boards, sound system, and Wi-Fi connectivity have been labeled as priorities in the coming years by stadium management.

The stadium also took over food operations recently, and prior to last season introduced a slew of new delicacies – including local Thai, Mexican, and Japanese cuisines.

On the field in 2019, the Seahawks will be chasing the defending NFC champion Los Angeles Rams, along with young San Francisco and Arizona teams in the NFC West. Besides playing those opponents both home and away, the Seahawks will welcome in the following teams to the Pacific Northwest: Cincinnati, New Orleans, Baltimore, Tampa Bay, and Minnesota (Monday night game). Road contests will be against Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Carolina.

The revamped Seattle Seahawks enter the 2018 NFL season with a completely different look than in past years. After failing to miss the playoffs for the first time in six years, GM John Schneider decided to shake up the roster in the off-season. Household names Richard Sherman, Michael Bennett, and Jimmy Graham will all be playing elsewhere in 2018, as the Seahawks will look to go with a younger roster this season.

Despite the changes, head coach Pete Carroll and Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson will be back for 2018, looking to lead the Seahawks back to the postseason. The combination of Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson is a sign of continuity from the Seahawks past years of success. New additions wide receiver Jaron Brown and tight end Ed Dickson will join Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett as Russell Wilson’s main targets on offense. Defensive end Cliff Avril and safety Kam Chancellor will return from injury to join Earl Thomas, Bobby Wagner, and K.J. Wright on the defensive side of the football. Last year’s defense was crippled by injury, but if healthy, Pete Carroll should have an elite defense on his hands once again. With a revamped roster, the Seattle Seahawks will look to compete in a very competitive NFC West in 2018.

CenturyLink Field is considered the loudest stadium in the NFL. The Seahawks’ '12th man' has twice set the Guinness World Record for the loudest crowd noise at a sporting event. Simply put, CenturyLink Field is an incredible venue to experience a football game. CenturyLink Field will see the Seattle Seahawks go to battle with the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and Dallas Cowboys in 2018.

Experience what it’s like being part of the Seahawks’ 12th man from the setting of a private luxury suite at CenturyLink Field. CenturyLink Field luxury suites feature HDTVs, Wi-Fi, premium seating inside and outside of the suite, private restrooms, wet bars and in-suite catering options. With a Seahawks suite you will receive VIP parking passes and exclusive access to the VIP clubs inside CenturyLink Field. Seahawks suites are perfect for any occasion whether you are entertaining clients or enjoying the game with friends and family.
