Utah’s upcoming season should be much better than its most recent one. The Jazz started hot but fizzled out in 2023. Utah’s roster is better built to prevent that from happening now. Forward Lauri Markkanen is coming off a career year where he averaged 25.6 points, almost seven more than he ever had previously. With that under his belt, Markkanen should continue to take strides moving forward. Center Walker Kessler had a fantastic rookie season where he became an elite interior defender. Utah’s backcourt of Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson sets up well for a productive year. And the Jazz traded for forward John Collins to fortify their starting lineup. Under head coach Will Hardy, Utah should compete to make its seventh postseason in the last eight years.
