There’s a new era of Portland basketball entering the NBA. Out went the dependable Damian Lillard. To replace the longtime Blazer, Portland made multiple moves. The Trail Blazers drafted Scoot Henderson with the third pick. Henderson averaged 16.5 points and 6.8 assists with the G League Ignite last year. He will play a major part in Portland’s new look squad. Center Deandre Ayton is also a new addition to the team. The former first overall pick put up 18 points and 10 rebounds with Phoenix in 2022-23. The two join Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant, both of whom had a major impact last season. The Blazers’ new core will be young, explosive, and entertaining moving forward.
