Celtics Spotlight

Current NBA Season

Last season was the fifth time in seven years that the Celtics reached the Eastern Conference Finals. Boston has been the definition of consistent contenders since 2015. Jayson Tatum is a massive reason why - he put up over 30 points a game for the first time in 2022-23. And his teammate Jaylen Brown just signed the largest contract in NBA history. After the departure of Marcus Smart and Grant Williams, Boston didn’t hold back in upgrading its roster. The Celtics traded for veteran big man Kristaps Porzingis to beef up their frontcourt. Porzingis averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 2022-23. The Celtics, who just ranked second in defensive rating, will be a frontrunner this season.

Past Spotlights

The Celtics are the defending Eastern Conference champions and made a strong run against Golden State before falling in six games. The C’s went into the offseason looking for more offensive support for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and the acquisition of Malcolm Brogdon, who averaged 20 points per game with Indiana, should help in that quest. Defensively, the team should be strong once Robert Williams III returns to health and joins Marcus Smart and Al Horford in the lineup. The Celtics had some controversy in the front office that led to the departure of head coach Ime Udoka, so assistant Joe Mazzulla was promoted to interim head coach to try and maintain some consistency from last year’s successful season.

Suites at the TD Garden are labeled the Boston Garden Society, and these suites give you sweeping views of the action while enjoying the game in private comfort. A private entrance and an elevator bring you right up to the suite level, and your experience is fully customizable with food and drink packages. You can also try a new Rafter suite, located among the famed championship banners and comes with an all-inclusive food menu and private bar.

The C’s may look at a bit different this year, but with Jayson Tatum leading the charge, Boston is sure to be in the thick of things once the postseason rolls around. Changes began at the top in the offseason, as Brad Stevens moved into a team president position and Ime Udoka took over the head coaching duties after a successful stint as a 76ers’ assistant. What’s old is new again as veteran big man Al Horford returns after a couple of seasons in Philadelphia and Oklahoma City. Another former Thunder star could play an integral part on offense, as Dennis Schroder will run the point. In terms of familiar faces, look no further than Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart. Smart signed a four-year extension recently and Brown has become one of the league’s most improved scorers in the past two seasons. One of the most decorated franchises in sports provides numerous luxurious ways to watch. The Boston Garden Society redefines the premium experience at TD Garden with the “newest-oldest” sports and social spot, the 1928 Club. Enjoying turning back the clock in this 7,500 square foot, two story vintage space that pays homage to the original Boston Garden. Also, don’t let the name scare you, Rafters provides you with an eye in the sky view as you sit amongst the championship banners and retired numbers of legends.
