Mets Spotlight

Current MLB Season

New York took a step back in 2023, but there’s still excitement surrounding the team. First baseman Pete Alonso hit 46 home runs, ranking third in MLB. It was his third season smashing 40+ bombs and recording 100+ RBI. And infielders Jeff McNeil and Francisco Lindor also both produced, playing nearly every game. Starting pitcher Kodai Senga had a fantastic rookie season, keeping an ERA of just 2.98. He’ll be joined by newcomers Luis Severino, Adrian Houser, Sean Manaea, and Shintaro Fujinami on the mound. The Mets should stay afloat in 2024.

Citi Field is a great place for a premium seating experience. New York has plenty of clubs, including the Delta Sky360 Club, Clover Home Plate Club, Hyundai Club, Piazza 31 Club, and Hudson Whiskey NY Club. Centered around food and drink, these options also have convenient locations, unique areas, all-inclusive dining, and exclusive... MORE

Past Spotlights

The Mets probably had the most eventful offseason—both positively and negatively—than any other team. It started with the loss of Jacob DeGrom, but that turned into signing Justin Verlander, Jose Quintana, and Kodai Senga for the rotation, while the club brought back closer Edwin Diaz, Brandon Nimmo, and Jeff McNeil to big deals. They tried to sign Carlos Correa but backed out after the physical, then Quintana (out until July) and Diaz (likely out for 2023) were injured in spring training. Still, the Mets won 101 games last year and are bringing back a top-five offense and a strong pitching staff with returning veterans Max Scherzer and Carlos Carrasco.

Besides a giant new scoreboard debuting this year at Citi Field, the Mets also pushed forward the right-field fences in a bit to build the Cadillac Club speakeasy for a new premium offering in 2023. The Clover Club is situated behind home plate and comes with all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages, while the Empire Suites are the stadium’s traditional luxury-box option. You get a private entrance into the stadium and suite level along with access to premium clubs and restrooms throughout the stadium. These hold anywhere from 16 to 31 people and come with a food and beverage credit along with visits from mascot Mr. Met and Mets alumni.

The Mets looked like they might make some noise in 2021, but after Jacob DeGrom’s potentially record-setting season was cut short due to injury, New York took a bit of a dive. Now with Max Scherzer to anchor the rotation with DeGrom, New York could be poised for a big year under new manager Buck Showalter. Pete Alonso returns to lead an offense that hopes to get more production from Francisco Lindor in his season year with the Mets, and veteran pieces Starlin Marte, Mark Canha, and Eduardo Escobar were brought in to provide stability in the order. Edwin Diaz has had a fantastic last two years as closer, so he’s expected to lead the bullpen once again.

Enjoy the game in style in an Empire Suite at Citi Field. You get a private entrance into the building via the Hodges Gate, along with access to premium clubs and restrooms throughout the stadium. These hold anywhere from 16 to 31 people and come with a variety of VIP benefits and experiences, including a food and beverage credit and visits from Mets alumni and mascot Mr. Met.
If you crave being on top of the action, check out the Clover Club. These seats are located within the first eight rows behind home plate, and club access includes your food and non-alcoholic drinks.
