United Center Event Planning Guide

Catering

While some Chicago Blackhawks suite rentals include in-suite catering, not all suites will. Guests can pre-order at their discretion from the Blackhawks suite menu. On average, clients spend about $100 per person on food and alcohol, however, there is no catering minimum and it is optional.

Parking and Transportation

Chicago Blackhawks luxury suites will include four VIP parking passes per game. Lot C and Lot K are designated for those in a Blackhawks suite. All other lots (A, D, F, L or MXC) are open to the public and are cash lots. There are no designated drop-off or pick-up areas outside of the arena.

Budget

Pricing for Blackhawks luxury suites can vary widely on the game. Most Blackhawks suites range from $4,000 - $12,000. The suite payment is due at the time of purchase while any catering charges won't occur until game day. So, you'll need to budget for that in addition to the Blackhawks suite rental.

Dress Code

How you dress in a Chicago Blackhawks luxury suite should depend on the nature of your event. If it’s a corporate event, most guests will likely be dressed in business casual attire. However, it’s not uncommon for guests to wear Chicago Blackhawks fan gear with jeans and sneakers.

Venue Bag Policy

The Chicago Blackhawks prohibit bags larger than 14” x 14” x 6” from being brought into the United Center. For safety reasons, guests may be refused entry if they are in possession of prohibited items including, but not limited to: alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, food, drinks and laptops.

Entrances

Those with a Chicago Blackhawks suite ticket have exclusive access to VIP entrances located at Gate 2 ½ on Madison Street or Gate 6 ½ on Adams Street. Next to each gate entrance are elevators that will take you up to all three United Center suite levels. Gates open 90 minutes prior to games.

Child Ticket Policy

For Chicago Blackhawks games, children under 36” do not require a ticket into the United Center. Any child 36" or taller must have a ticket to enter. This applies to guests using a Blackhawks suite as well. There is no age requirement for being in a Blackhawks luxury box or to be on the suite... MORE

Blackhawks Spotlight

Current NHL Season

It’s officially the Connor Bedard show in Chicago. And it will continue to be the Connor Bedard show for the foreseeable future. The 18-year-old dominated on his path towards being selected with the first pick of the 2023 NHL Draft. Bedard is touted as one of the best prospects in recent history. The Blackhawks are immediately more dynamic, exciting, and intriguing the moment Bedard makes his debut. The rookie is joined by other newcomers to round out Chicago’s new offense. Corey Perry, Nick Foligno, Taylor Hall, and Ryan Donato all headed to the team over the off-season. But, in the end, those additions will be overlooked. All eyes are on Connor Bedard. The youngster alone is worth admission.

The United Center is a great venue to watch the NHL. Premium seating like the BMO Club and Michelob Ultra Club extend plenty of amenities. The BMO Club provides two or four club... MORE

Past Spotlights

Franchise mainstays and a couple of prized offseason additions could get the Hawks back in the thick of the postseason mix. Buzz already surrounds Patrick Kane in his quest for a second Hart Memorial Trophy. Captain Jonathan Toews returns for his 14th season in Chicago and 23-year-old Alex DeBrincat blossomed into a point-a-night player during his 2020-21 campaign. The Blackhawks bolstered their defense by trading for Columbus’ all-star Seth Jones. They also added a two-time Stanley Cup Champion center in Tampa Bay’s Tyler Johnson and one of the most decorated netminders in the game’s history in Marc-Andre Fleury, who needs just eight more victories to become just the third goalie to ever crack the 500-win mark. Fans seeking a world class premium experience at the United Center can start with one of the Licensed Executive Suite options. Lower Level Suites provide their most luxurious state-of-the-art space to wine and dine while Penthouse Level Suites combine comfort with a hawks-eye view of the Hawks. Those seeking similar amenities and service, but at a fraction of the price, can try a membership to the BMO Club. Four-to-eight person elegant theatre boxes highlight the Budweiser Championship Club, which comes with reserved dining tables and private coat closet.

The Blackhawks are in a bit of transition, as the team has moved on from several pieces of their Stanley Cup-winning teams (like head coach Joel Quenneville), while others remain (Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, and goaltender Corey Crawford).

Can this core, combined with Dylan Strome, Alex Nylander, and defenders like Calvin de Haan and Olli Maatta, to make another run in the Western Conference? Strome averaged nearly a point per game after being traded to Chicago midseason, and Alex DeBrincat is expected to reach the next level this year after scoring 41 goals a season ago. It will be up to head coach Jeremy Colliton, going into his first full season on the bench, to get the most out of this squad.

The United Center is one of the quintessential NHL venues, and the home of this Original Six franchise has an extensive list of premium experiences.

It starts in the Lexus Club, where members have access to their own private level and membership to the Chicago Stadium Club restaurant. Budweiser Champions Club Theater Boxes give you a four-person suite as well as a reserved table in an all-inclusive lounge.

You can also gain access to a suite for 20, 40, or even 80 people. These are fully catered with dedicated attendants, private restrooms, and private arena entrances with elevators.
