NCAA College Football National Championship Spotlight

The University of Oregon and Ohio State will face off in the first College Football Playoff Championship under the new system. The game is set to kickoff January 12, 2015 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Ducks and Buckeyes advanced to the National Championship game by winning each of their playoff games. The Ducks finished the year as the number two seed and the Buckeyes finished as the fourth seed. This will be the ninth time that Oregon and Ohio State have played one another, the Buckeyes have won all 8 of their past games. Although, going into the National College Championship game, the Ducks are favored to win. With Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota leading the Ducks offense, the Ducks will certainly have an advantage on offense. The Buckeyes will be led by their third-string quarterback Cardale Jones but will turn to their ground game with running back Ezekiel Elliot leading the way. Defensively, the Ohio State Buckeyes have the slight advantage but the Ducks defense has been one of the nation’s best down the stretch. This game will feature two of college football’s best coaches in Urban Meyer for the Buckeyes and Mark Helfrich for the Ducks. AT&T Stadium is home of the Dallas Cowboys and is one of the most sought after venues in the entire world to spectate any event.
