The seventh annual 2015 Cowboys Classic will take place September 5 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The 2015 Cowboys Classic will feature the Alabama Crimson Tide versus the Wisconsin Badgers. This will be just the second time Alabama and Wisconsin have played against one another. Wisconsin won that game back in 1928. Alabama will be making its second appearance at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Wisconsin will be making their first appearance inside “Jerry World.” Entering 2015, Nick Saban will have his Alabama Crimson Tide team ranked in the top ten. Wisconsin’s new head coach Paul Chryst will have his Badgers near the top 25. Chryst replaces Gary Anderson who left for Oregon State after just seasons with the Badgers. Chryst was previously the head coach for the University of Pittsburgh. Wisconsin will be representing the Big Ten West, the division they won last season. The Badgers finished 11-3 last year, 7-1 in their division. The Alabama Crimson Tide were 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the SEC. Alabama defeated Missouri to win the SEC Championship game. The Crimson Tide played in the inaugural College Football Playoff, finishing with the number one seed in the country. Alabama was defeated by the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2015 Sugar Bowl CFP semifinal game. In 2014, Florida State beat Oklahoma State in the Cowboys Classic. In 2016, Alabama will be back in the Cowboys Classic to face the USC Trojans.
