AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl Spotlight

The AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl takes place on December 29th at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The 2015 matchup features LSU vs. Texas Tech.

The LSU Tigers have had an up and down season. At season end, the Tigers ranked 20th in the nation after being ranked 2nd at one point this season. There’s also been rumors of head coach, Les Miles, not returning next year and that he very well maybe coaching for his job in the Texas Bowl. While there’s been a lot of negative stories out of LSU this season, the bright spot is running back Leonard Fournette. The sophomore, Fournette is one of the best backs in the nation and he’ll get plenty of work against the Red Raiders.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders rebounded from last year and are once again bowl bound. The Red Raiders don’t have a problem scoring. Many believe the best way to beat the Tigers will be to let quarterback Patrick Mahomes air it out. Mahomes, just a sophomore, threw for 32 touchdowns in head coach, Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.

While Texas Tech should score enough points to beat LSU, it will come down to how well the Red Raiders stop Fournette. Fournette will make or break the Texas Bowl for the Tigers.

NRG Stadium is host to the Texas Bowl. Fans catch watch LSU vs. Texas Tech from a private luxury suite.
