Cubs Spotlight

Current MLB Season

Chicago narrowly missed the playoffs in 2023. Expect a different outcome in 2024. The Cubs retained their best hitter from last season in outfielder Cody Bellinger. Bellinger had nearly 100 RBI and led Chicago in basically every batting category. He joins shortstop Dansby Swanson and outfielders Ian Happ and Seiya Suzuki, creating a strong lineup. On the mound, starting pitcher Justin Steele nearly won the NL Cy Young after a dominant 2023. And the addition of Shota Imanaga makes the Cubs rotation much stronger. Chicago is ready to win its division for the first time since 2020.

Wrigley Field, one of the most famous stadiums in the world, has fantastic premium options for fans. Areas like the American Airlines 1914 Club, Maker’s Mark Barrel Room, W Club, and Catalina Club have plenty to offer. These include high-end food and drink, convenient locations, exclusive products,... MORE

Past Spotlights

Most of the Cubs roster from their 2016 championship glory days has turned over, and the process of building a new winner has begun. Offensively, things look good with new acquisitions Dansby Swanson, Cody Bellinger, Eric Hosmer, Tucker Barnhart, and Trey Mancini joining familiar faces that remain like Ian Happ and Seiya Suzuki. Jameson Taillon joins Marcus Stroman at the front of the rotation, and the team will hope for better health from Kyle Hendricks and Drew Smyly on the back end. Closer Brandon Hughes had a good 2022 and is joined in a high-leverage bullpen spot by longtime Tiger Michael Fulmer.

Regardless of the performance on the field, Wrigley Field remains a destination for Cubs fans and Chicago tourists alike. The 1060 project is complete, and there are now plenty of premium-seating options at “The Friendly Confines.” In addition to one-of-a-kind premium offerings like seats on the rooftops across the street, traditional suites are also available. Choose from suites holding 15, 30, 45, and 60 guests. All-inclusive catering packages customized to your group’s needs are available, and suites feature a retractable glass wall, so you can either stay inside or enjoy the game outdoors depending on which way the wind is famously blowing at Wrigley.

Cubs fans went through some pain in 2021 with the trading of World Series champs Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez, and Kris Bryant, but some veterans from that core remain, and the hope is that new players acquired in those deals will be able to contribute for years to come. Catcher Willson Contreras, Ian Happ, Andrelton Simmons, and even Jason Heyward will contribute at DH. Veterans Clint Frazier and Jonathan Villar were brought on board, and Japanese signing Seiya Suzuki has plenty of promise.

Marcus Stroman and Wade Miley were decent pitching acquisitions and join longtime Cub Kyle Hendricks at the top of the rotation. Several youngsters, including Steven Brault, Justin Steele, Keegan Thompson, and Daniel Norris, are all potential starters but will likely see time in the bullpen.

The 1060 project at Wrigley Field improved and expanded the suite options at the historic venue. Suites can accommodate 15,30, 40, of 55 guests, and there are also five clubs inside “The Friendly Confines.” The stadium’s suites include a mix of outdoor seating and climate-controlled private seating during those early- and late-season chilly nights. Other perks include an outdoor drink rail, outdoor heat lamps, parking passes, private entrance into the stadium, all-inclusive food and drink packages, and access to pregame batting practice and postgame photos.
